Caring for the WHOLE Community

RembrandtAt Wholistic Paws, we recognize that the best way to be a leader in our community is to serve others. We have challenged ourselves to take part in 4 community service projects a year to help improve the lives of those around us. Wholistic Paws is committed to helping the following organizations:

Spring

Loudoun Interfaith Relief - The mission of Loudoun Interfaith Relief, Inc. is simple, yet critically important: feed the hungry by providing emergency food assistance to those in need to any person or family living in Loudoun County.

Summer

St. James' Literacy Program - A secular, integrated literacy program for low income rising third graders who are at risk of falling behind in grade level reading and who are not already being serviced in the public schools.

Fall

Paws for a Cause 3K Walk - Proceeds from this walk benefit Fairfax Pets on Wheels, Inc., an all volunteer organization dedicated to providing pet visitation to residents of nursing homes and hospitals.

Winter

Community Holiday Coalition - the Holiday Coalition has a Thanksgiving Program and Christmas Program that bring together people from all walks of life: those who need assistance and those who want to help. Each year nearly 1,000 volunteers and donors come together to "Brighten up the Holidays" for low-income Loudoun County residents.

In truth, caring for the WHOLE community stems from our day to day activities and interactions with those around us. At Wholistic Paws Veterinary Services, we strive to be community leaders by helping those around us every day and with the above community service projects. We challenge each of you to find a project that inspires you and to contribute as best you can. Your service will be a blessing to those whose lives you touch and a loving tribute to all of your pet companions!
